Grumpy Farmer Goats Cheese

Here at Handley Farm we produce award winning goats cheese.  The milk is used directly from our herd of goats and is used to make delicious cheese.

​

The goats cheese is either plain or rolled in carefully selected seasonings and herbs.  Currently these are; Paprika, Smoked onion and Italian herbs.

​

We also have a mature goats cheese which has a stronger flavour and won Gold and Class Champion for the Farmhouse Cheese at the 2018 Melton Mobray Artisan Cheese Awards as well as Best Micro Producer.

​

We received bronze awards for our cheeses at the 2017 Artisan Cheese Awards held in Melton Mobray and were Highly Commended by The Derbyshire Life 2017 Food and Drink Awards in the Food or Drink Product of the Year category.

​

The goats cheese is available to buy at The Bull Shed and is used in some of our dishes. 

​

We also attend the Wirksworth Market every Tuesday and the monthly markets at both Wirksworth and Belper.
